TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 23, 2008) - BFI Canada Ltd. (the "Corporation")(TSX:BFC) today announced, subject to further approval by the Corporation's Board of Directors, the expected record and payment dates for its regular and special dividends in 2009.

Expected Regular Dividend Schedule



The Corporation expects to pay regular quarterly dividends of $0.125 per
share, as follows:
