Franchises looking for promising franchise owners will be at the mall to discuss opportunities for owning a location. Information will also be available from organizations that provide necessary and valuable resources for prospective business owners, including banks, consultants and legal services. Supporting nonprofit groups, such as the Small Business Advocacy Council, will also be represented.

Leasing representatives from 12 Simon properties will be on-hand to discuss opportunities for franchise locations throughout Illinois including: Aurora (Chicago Premium Outlets), Huntley (Huntley Outlet Center), Bloomingdale (Bloomingdale Court), Bourbonnais/Kankakee (Northfield Square), Calumet City (River Oaks Center), Countryside (Countryside Plaza), Crystal Lake (Crystal Court), Gurnee (Gurnee Mills), Matteson (Matteson Plaza), Orland Park (Orland Square Mall and Lakeview Plaza) and Rockford(Forest Plaza).

According to industry consultant FranNet, franchised businesses are the cause of nearly 21 million jobs—15.3 percent of all U.S. private-sector jobs.

Franchisors represented at the fair will include Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Cinnabon, Sports Clips and more.
