NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MFA Financial, Inc. (NYSE: [ MFA ]) announced today that in accordance with the terms of its 8.50% Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, the Board of Directors has declared a preferred stock dividend of $0.53125 per share for the quarter ending March 31, 2012. This dividend is payable on April 2, 2012, to preferred stockholders of record as of March 1, 2012.

MFA is a real estate investment trust primarily engaged in the business of investment, on a leveraged basis, in Agency and Non-Agency residential mortgage-backed securities.
