Cincinnati Cyclones Offer Kids a Chance to SnackHealthy

JUPITER, FL--(Marketwire - Jan 19, 2012) - Today, Healthient, Inc. (OTCBB: [ SNAX ]) announced that its direct sales business unit SnackHealthy has teamed up with professional hockey team The Cincinnati Cyclones for the 2011-2012 season to offer Kids Eat Free Nights. SnackHealthy's CrispyFruit Fuji Apple, Pineapple and Banana will be served as part of the kids meals at Cyclones games on Kids Eat Free Nights throughout the season. Kids Eat Free Nights take place on December 27th, January 21st, February 25th and March 24th at the US Bank Arena in downtown Cincinnati. All fans ages 2 through 12 will receive a free meal.

Katherine West, SnackHealthy's CEO, will be in attendance this Saturday night to drop the ceremonial first puck as the Cyclones battle the Chicago Express. "Working with a professional hockey team that supports their young fans with healthy snacks is another opportunity for SnackHealthy to encourage children to be active and eat healthy. I feel great pride in knowing that we are helping kids make better choices by providing these great tasting, healthier alternatives," said Katherine West, CEO of SnackHealthy.

More than 23 million children and teenagers in the U.S. are obese or overweight, a statistic that health and medical experts consider an epidemic. Childhood obesity puts nearly one third of America's children at early risk for Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and even stroke -- conditions usually associated with adulthood.

"The Cyclones are proud to offer a delicious and nutritious addition to Kids Eat Free Nights with SnackHealthy's CrispyFruit snacks," said Cyclones Vice President and General Manager Kristin Ropp. "This addition only extends the family value of a Cyclones game as kids 2 through 12 will now be able to receive a complimentary meal that includes a bag of SnackHealthy's Crispy Fruit when attending our Kids Eat Free Nights this season," she added.

Crispy Fruit and SnackHealthy's entire line of food and beverage products are sold exclusively through SnackHealthy distributors.
