Focus Business Bank Announces No Monthly Debit Card Fees

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 14, 2011) - Focus Business Bank (OTCBB: [ FCSB ]) announced that it will continue its longstanding practice of not charging its customers for debit card usage. The Bank also affirmed that it would continue to refund fees charged for ATM usage at any ATM in the United States.

President and CEO Richard Conniff commented, "Focus Business Bank is committed to meeting the needs of its clients. Our customers, primarily closely held businesses and professionals in Santa Clara County, are the backbone of local commerce. Although we feel that financial institutions should be free to set fees without the imposition of laws such as the Durbin Amendment, we also recognize that our customers are not the beneficiaries of these regulations and should not bear the cost. We have elected to forego these fees in the interest of supporting our clients."

Mr. Conniff further noted, "Focus Business Bank opened in early 2007, just before the economy plunged into a deep and prolonged recession. The Bank's shareholders are primarily from Santa Clara County and its Directors are successful local business persons. We believe our disciplined commitment to businesses in our market combined with local decision making allowed us to safely navigate through a troubled economic period. The Bank remains well capitalized and positioned for continued growth. Focus Business Bank has not participated in any government capital programs including the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) or the Small Business Lending Fund (SBLF)."

Focus Business Bank is dedicated to meeting the banking needs of closely-held businesses and professionals in Santa Clara County.
