Thu, April 28, 2011 Great Plains Energy Revises Schedule for First Quarter 2011 Earnings
KANSAS CITY, Mo.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Great Plains Energy Incorporated (NYSE: GXP) announced today a change in the expected date of its first quarter 2011 earnings release. The Company plans to issue its first quarter 2011 earnings release and Report on Form 10-Q on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, after the market close. This is two days earlier than the originally scheduled date of Thursday, May 5, 2011.
The Missouri Public Service Commission has indicated in public discussions that it intends to issue a final Report and Order in the rate case for KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company on May 4, 2011. Consistent with its standard practice, the Company will issue a Report on Form 8-K with respect to the order as soon as practicable following its issuance.
The Company made no change to the schedule for its webcast and conference call to discuss the Companya™s 2011 first quarter earnings and operating results. It will be conducted on Friday, May 6, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. EDT.
