Mr. Alcock will be responsible for investment activity, including acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopment and asset management in the companya™s east coast markets. Prior to joining UDR, Mr. Alcock was an executive vice president with Aimco, a Denver-based multifamily real estate investment trust. As chief investment officer, Mr. Alcock was responsible for transaction activity as the company grew from a portfolio of 37 owned communities with a total real estate value of $300 million to a portfolio of 2,000 communities with a total real estate value of more than $15 billion. In addition, he established and chaired Aimcoa™s Investment Committee, launched the companya™s portfolio management function, at various times oversaw its property debt and redevelopment departments and served as co-head of its transactions and asset management department.
