VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 16, 2010) -Trans National Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TNF) ("Trans National" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Long Wang has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and a director of the Company and Charles Yuen has been appointed as a director of the Company.
Mr. Wang has over fourteen years of experience in both public and private sectors in government policy-making, management, international trade, futures and financial analysis and mining investment and project management. He served as the executive director of International Energy & Mineral Resources Investment (Hong Kong) Company Limited, a company involved in risk exploration and investments in energy and mining resources, and successfully led its expansion to North American and European markets.
Mr. Yuen has over twenty years of experience in developing international trade, distribution, manufacturing, marketing, financial, and organizational strategies for several Canadian businesses. He served as executive director and V.P. at several import and export corporations, and served as the chairman of the Canadian Asian Food Suppliers Association and three other non-profit organizations. He has also worked with the various levels of government on natural resources, environmental and safety issues.
The Company also announces that Bruce Pridmore has resigned as a director and officer of the Company and Judson Culter has resigned as a director of the Company. The Company thanks Mr. Pridmore and Mr. Culter for their contributions to the board of directors.
Mr. Pridmore and Mr. Culter have been retained as consultants to the Company to provide advice and counsel for a period of 5 years. The Company has approved the granting of 50,000 stock options to each of Mr. Pridmore and Mr. Culter pursuant to the Company's existing Stock Option Plan. Each option entitles the holder to acquire one common share of the Company at an exercise price of CDN $0.30, expiring five (5) years from the date of grant.
